This is my attempt to open honest communication between you three and me. ZADAM, DIABLO and BOMER have all expressed interest in working. Instead of getting pissed at me, please respond to this thread.
Zadam volunteered for a project which will involve many aspects, but is better known as "weeding out" the forums. One part is deleting crap, another is about collecting nuggets, and a final phase is sorting nuggets. There are more phases, and it will address all issues of users questions like, "why is all that old stuff there?", or, "what rules?", or, "I can't find the ______." This is a big project and Zadam will need help; I reserve the right to control all design and final production aspects of this site. That is not open for discussion.
Diablo wants to work on the site. I will teach how to edit, create content, and will assign you to work where you see most of your effort going.
Bomer volunteered to email members. To start this project, it would be best to use Office tools Excel and Word to accomplish this. You appreciate the experience when you get a job or take an online class. Start with Excel. Step one is to download all email addresses from this site into an excel spreadsheet. If you don't want that largely UNglamorous task... I WILL DO IT. I want to see if you can start under my guidance.

Well I have been trying to
Well I have been trying to weed out the CoD section but I have been running into a bunch of problem.
First off I can only delete topics that I started. In other words if I didnt start the topic I cant get rid of it. A post by Coolball for example I can only delete each response to the topic, which I have to do individually. I aint complaining about how long its taking just that all i can do is get rid of the posts and not the topic in general. Some help with fixing that would be appreciated.
Second, am I supposed to take the trimemrs to other forums as well? I thought I was only doing the CoD section but if you want me to do more then I will. Just know that I have the philosiphy that if i dont even bother reading it when i think about deleting it its gone.

This is a perfect topic for the meeting. It sounds like I just have to give you more permissions/rights.
I think we may want to modify this 'weeding' project, and turn it into a 'mining' project. In other words, there is a LOT of stuff that doesn't need to be saved. Diablo and others are right about that. So instead of cleaning the trash, let's dig thru it to find the golden nuggets.
I have ideas that may slightly change the way we approach this task, get it out of the way, and let us move on. We can talk on Saturday.

Regarding the weeding out
Regarding the weeding out issue.
Hit "Users" to the right in the menu. A list appears. On that list you'll see that the majority of the members have their last visit set to "never".

Mmmk, valid, but wrong topic. The user list email project is different from the weeding out (now mining) project. Let's keep 'em separated.
The reason many of the users in the list have never been to this site IS BECAUSE NO ONE EVER TOLD THEM IT WAS HERE. Hence the project to contact them. AFTER THAT, you will have authority to do more, but only AFTER all members have been contacted.
I REALIZE there is a problem however: you can only contact three members per hour using the contact form on this board. Try it, then get back to me.
I THINK I have a solution to that problem in that I can get a spreadsheet of email addresses from the admin section of the site (OR IF WORSE COMES TO WORSE) I can run a SQL query on the database and pull it out that way. Yes we have skillz.

From my own stand point the
From my own stand point the only thing I promised to do I did to the best I could. I havent been able to move forward on the weeding out process because of my limitations. Yes I know if I showed to a meeting we could sort this out, however, I dont think my input would be of any use anyways. I have been a part of VeX for a long time, and will be here till the end. My problem is my computer limitations, I cant play any of the new games which we need to get into and I dont want to be the one holding us back, making us play a game where we wont get new blood. You guys find a new game that has some new blood in it. I wont be the one that held VeX's head under the water and let us drown.
