Should we get rid of the censor?

Give me a good reason why it should be removed? Perhaps, a few of you should learn self control when posting, or when creating your signatures. I understand a lot of you are young, and think it's "cool" to use "bad words" whenever possible on the internet because your parents don't allow such filth around the house. But look at it this way, every time a VeX member decides to be "cool" and incoherently use "bad words", it sets a bad image for VeX. For one, we want members to be able to access this message board around any audience: teachers, family, friends, etc... We have had a few incidents where members got in trouble for reading posts, that contained bad words, at school.

Clean up the posts and signatures, and leave that kind talk to private conversations (Y!IM, MSN, etc...). If you can do this, I will gladly remove the censor.

epagien, sure that was a nice, intellectual lecture you just gave me, and sure, some people may get in trouble, and SURE...some people may think its cool to swear online when they arent able to in real life.

but your way off base as to why i voted yes.
i'm just having some fun, but if you guys really dont want the censor, its not a big deal to me, i wouldnt even notice a difference...if i really wanted to feel cool about being able to swear online, i'd go into AOL chatrooms, say im 21 and can drink, i party all day, and swear like crazy.

But i dont

While you can vote till ur fingers bleed, this vote will not actually change things in VeX. Sure I will take it under advisement that you might not "like" the censor, but realistically, on the subject of the censor, it's there to stay; learn it, love it, live it.

Also, just so you know, there are only five censored words. So if you re-read what Epagien said to you, and get the part about using a bigger vocabulary, you will do two things. I suggest you really focus on that paragraph. ::hint::

The first is you will accomplish is a bit of "personal growth." Don't be the moron in the corner... learn some new words. Challenge yourself mentally. Or are you too scared to do that?

The second is if you accomplish the mission that Captain Epagien set before you, you will bring honor not only to yourself, but also to this Clan, which is most important if you wish to progress to higher ranks.

Keep this in mind: Now that you have a rank, you also have something to lose.
