Register at AAtracker

G'morning, Staff.

Before I will get behind this AATracker idea, you need to convince me why it's necessary and why other things like Xfire won't supercede the need.

You know it's been a problem since we left the Zone Lobby to communicate with others. I just want to make sure this is the best way for AA.

(Am I rhyming today? No way.)

Are you defying a commanding officers order? We have a commanding office to guide the inexperienced, and I do not think it should be explained to you anymore.

As a fellow recruit, I will tell you why you should register with AAOTracker, omitting the above FACT. AAOTracker monitors all gameservers registered with the global serverlist. The AAOTracker amazingly records the stats of registered users as well as indicating their online status. The AA section uses it to keep track of the roster, online players, and clan stats. I think if you would register and give it a whirl you would find the convincing you need. We do recommend the usage of XFire as it eliminates the need to find the server a member is playing on. AAOTracker is only capable of listing the name and IP of the server a member is currently playing on, but at least you do not need to install another program. And if I may quote you "only good if others use it."

Jeez, who pissed in your crispies, Epagien? Not sure who you're talking to here, Lt. I feel strongly that comments like "I don't think it should be explained to you" are inappropriate anywhere on these boards, and inexcuseable coming from a VeX Officer. This is a place to learn and prove your point.

When I read this: "When you are a leader of this clan or allowed to register your squad on our website, simply click on the » Register a clan Link..." Did you mistakenly think you were the Clan Leader all by yourself? Or did someone give you permission to register? Who?

If you go ahead without approval, you're making it harder for all VeX. There's no consistency, no authority and no thought put into it. By all accounts, the rank and possibly position of the Section Leader is on the line because he (Blaster) failed to follow the chain of command. Sure he was doing what he thought was best for the Clan and that should be admired, but he should have talked it over with the higher-ups before making it a MANDATE that all VeX AA use it. That's the way we've done it in every other section. What's different this time?

Also, it's not like you, Epagien, to cop an attitude like this. If you have a problem with me that I'm not aware of, please email.

Since you read my thoughts above, I hope you will be a little more forthcoming with your new ideas next time, rather than telling the General he doesn't need to know about it. To save you all a bunch of headache, I will just agree to be overruled on this one. Don't count on that to happen again.

Frankly, that kind of 'tude does NOT make me want to join this section.

First off, I was assigned a task from Blasta_X (SL) to explain AAOTracker; as it does sound like I am butting into this topic.

All that I'm going to say about my behavior is that I assumed Elixir was a fellow recruit, the lowest pay grade, of this section, and therefore he would be questioning the higher officers command. I wanted to tell this new recruit about this new system with humor instead of sounding like a hardass.

Now on the basis of Elixir's reply;

The next part will be put up straight and simple. AAOTracker is supposed to be used as a statistical tool for the VEX AA Section. We do not differ from any other section except for we have an enhanced clan record feature compared to the Counter Strike Clan Record feature.

To conclude, if you feel this matter does need to be voted on by the clan, or section leaders (the Clan Leaders); then I will tell me section superior, Blasta_X, and see what he wants to do.

I didn't know about the assignment from Blasta. I did not know we were playing in rank here. That's fine with me now that I know. Next time just say, "In character:" somewhere. :)

Also, the reason I gave the go-ahead in the form of my saying "agree to be overruled" is because the AAOTracker provide a nice amount of fresh data. They also have a very primitive page, which means we can do pretty much whatever we want to with their data, including display it on our pages. Therefore, I believe it not up for Clan Vote, because we all agree on it, and the vote would be "yes".
