If you keep your system updated, you won't have as much trouble. The coolwebsearch engine preys on a vulnerability in the Java VM, as far as I can tell. Use http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com on a regular basis, at least monthly.

does google still ILLEGALLY cache webpages?

Google toolbar reports usage statistics back to Google who has an agreement to sell internet usage stats to the government. conspiracy? you be the judge. your friend? thats your choice.

I admit I use it occasionally, but only after altavista and alltheweb(includes a google engine i believe) fails me.
