Tips's for running a section.
Hello everyone! I am currently have difficulty running my section "Guild Wars". I can't seem to keep in contact with the people who agree to join and then all of a sudden the quit and I never hear from them again. They also just don't want to seem to join.
So here is the reason for this topic. How can I run a section successfully? How can I recruit successfully? How do you keep your members organized successfully? The key word here is Successfully because that's what I want my section to be!
So please, Section Leaders of the past and present, give me tips! Give me advice! Teach me all that there is to know about being an SL! Help me be succesful! :D

I saw an excellent guide to recruiting on www.vexclan.com.

Wow, how ironic (I think I used the term right). I actually helped write that FAQ by taking everyone's comments and suggestions and smaking them together to make something. But, I think I should clarify what exactly I am having trouble with recruiting. I am having trouble with advertising for our clan and keeping potential members in.

"Ironic" probably wasn't the best word to use but sure. My suggestion is to keep track of them IN GAME like add them to ur friends list or w/e and talk to them there.

sometimes ppl forget this, but the best way to recruit and keep members is to play. Outwars was about playing and flaming... which is why lobby games kick ass.
Play with your newer members as much as possible in efforts to motivate them. Keep them interested afterward by showing them how they can be active in other ways.

The main key to getting good members is playing a lot and just getting known. Once you get some members that will play with you play together in smaller areas, people will join the clan cuz they see you have members and your playing together. However, that is the hardest part of a section is getting people and staying active.
