Valve announces HL2 release packages

According to a post attributed to Gabe Newell over at HLFallout, Valve is now announcing the different packages of Half-Life 2 that will be sold. There are 5 different varieties to choose from, including 2 from retail stores and 3 from Steam. The different packages are as follows:

Retail:
- Standard Edition - Includes HL2 and CS:Source on 6 CDs, offered in one of three different style boxes (GMan, Alyx, or Gordon).
- Collector's Edition - Includes HL2, CS:Source, HL1:Source, a HL2 tshirt, and a Prima guide sampler. Shipped on 1 DVD.

Steam:
- Bronze - Includes HL2 and CS:Source.
- Silver - Includes HL2, CS:Source, HL1:Source, DOD:Source, and Valve's back catalog currently available on Steam.
- Gold - Includes HL2, CS:Source, HL1:Source, DOD:Source, Valve's back catalog currently available on Steam, Strategy guide from Prima Games, 3 different HL2 posters, HL2 hat, HL2 postcard, HL2 stickers, HL2 soundtrack CD, and a chance to win a trip to Valve (1 trip per 5000 Gold packages purchased).

I plan to get Collectors Edition :)

One thing I noticed is that there are FAR more HL players than any other game. It remains in first place on the most played lists across the 'net. On GameSpy there are over 80,000 players online right now.

It seems like we should take advantage of the huge player pool and start a HL section, doesn't it?
