He is a very intellegent person, who is older and can handle more responsiblity. He tries harder than anyone I know to succeed at things. He is definitely leader material.

Regardless, I created a new topic. Currently, you may not know this but i am an admin. I have the authority to do this. If Epagien was upset he would move it. Its an insuation about an important issue that imo speaks for itself.

I read all 29 of his posts at the time of writing that message. I see no evidence of his handiwork on the rs site.

Hes older means nothing to me other than he has more prior obligations than you. He can handle more yes, but is that sufficient?

I'm not saying anything bad about anything. You're thinking in terms of elevators. That challenges the long time norm of the stairs for this clan's leadership progression. We shoulf not let someone of minor short term affiliation with leadership experience at a non clan wide level, if one at all, go straight to the top. Development and dedication are a big part of this clan. I propose to let whomever develop and learn more about what the clan is about and the long term goals. Changing our long term policies puts our clan in further jeopardy of disbandment as we are lucky to have sustained this long. I would like to think its because of commitment and good policy.

I would vote for you before him, dn. Don't think I am, but that is all of little importance. Frankly I'm dissapointed at the whole thing.

I'm not angry or anything, don't get me wrong. It is just my opinion being heard. I'm just not sure how high regard my opinion holds.[Levity for my opinon in the form of a resume can be requested] The past seems to be dissapearing as membership changes.

It seems a rapid evolution for the clan is at hand. I'm not sure who understands that the stake of this group's existence relies on these select individuals. There is enough time for those who are nominated to at least speak a few posts of persuasion I should hope.

Nope, wasn't upset :D. Just split the first two posts from the nominations thread to a new thead (this one) with a appropriate subject. I belive it's being utilized correctly. BTW, I think the only way to tell who is a administrator is by looking at the "Who is Online" table on the front page. Admins and mods appear in a special font format.

Since we are speaking our opinions...
I do agree with Kresh. We would more likely want members that have history in VeX to run the clan. But we can't forget that 'Elixir' was given control of the Outwars section with only being in the clan for a few months (Apr '99-Oct '99: between those months).

BTW, nominations/elections were approved by 'Elixir' to be opened up to everyone because VeX doesn't have as many active veteran members as we did a year or two ago. The members of today wouldn't be able to pass rank prerequisites.

Elixir suggested we have all VeX officers campaign for a spot in 'The Cabinet.' ...

To sum it up,
Kresh is right to an extent. We want leaders with clan experience, but also with high activity in the clan (in-game and forum). If we nominated members with experience but low activity... We would be in the "same boat" as we are in now.

... yawn ... let's see some campaign ads. ;)

It's too early in the morning for this post. Geez. Well, since I have been nominated a few times, I guess I should start a little campaign of some kind.

I'm kind of like the incumbent, and I think I can reflect the past of VeX with a steady method. I remember most of what happened over the last five or so years that I have been with VeX... I'll find out exactly long it was. I have been here. I have never threatened to leave the Clan (pretty sure about that) and well, I'm not going anywhere.

You can count on me to give solid, continuous advice on the leadership of the Clan.

I do not think the Cabinet will dilute the strength of VeX, rather I think it will make us stronger!

Hmmm, I should probably post a Campaign ad also, and use big words... Hmmmm... incumbent is already taken... (jkjk =P)Anyway.

If I am elected into any leader position, I do my all to make sure it works out and stick with it through thick and thin. For example - I have lost countless amount of money on Runescape and died so many times, but each time I stick with it. Sometimes reluctantly, but you would be mad too. :wink:

My goal is to get ALL these games back up. It can be done. I know I can help you do it. Since I am not limited to one game, I can help with any section people are thinking of, or are already making.

My closing statement is:
I just KNOW this clan can do better and go so much further, and I want to be there to help.

Why should you vote for me?
Please let me appease you with my goals.

1. Work with sections to become more operative
   A clan can only grow once it has strengthen its foundation. The strength of our foundation has been strong through the years, but has gradually began to shift and become off balanced. I will work to make things balanced once again, but I will not be alone in this balancement
2. Work with members to create 'power' sections
   The Cabinet should not have to be a part of every section to make it successful. Rather, The Cabinet should rely on educated members to lead the sections according to the guidelines of VeX.
3. Create a multitude of Order of Procedures
   In order for VeX to prosper, members need to know how to operate without The Cabinet overseeing ever operation. In order to help members operate in this manner, Order of Procedures (OoP) need to be created that define the steps to completing an operation. This will reduce the number of mistakes found in operations (creating a section, recruiting, etc...)
4. Expand the structure. Stop responsibility stacking
   We need to define jobs and the responsibilities included with them. New departments and jobs will be created when The Cabinet has become overwhelmed with that specific type of work. (eg. The Cabinet created a department that handles the creation of sections)

Since I am tired, I'll stop there. I do have several other ideas brewing that just need to be put into words...

When elected, we shall have a big meeting with all VeX members and a set agenda.
