The VeX Clan web site.
A few members have told me there is no VeX web site.
- Meaning a message board doesn't count as a web site
- No links linking to section pages

What should the VeX web site have?

YES! We used to have that flash menu at the top that alowed you to visit the section sites but still be connected to the site. It also allowed you to go straight to runescape and stll be connected to the VeX site! That was so cool! What ever happened to that flash thing up at the top?

This is an excellent discussion for VeX's website development forum and the graphic development forum.

For now, I really think and respectfully submit that we FINISH the VeX skin for the message board and then attack the problem this thread addresses.

I agree there is a problem, but I've seen in the past, when we bite off more than we can chew, we bog ourselves down to the point where we don't move forward.

I believe the VeX skin is almost done. When it is, it will form the basis, or "template" if you will for each VeX Clan Section page. That will fix the problem this thread addresses.... two problems with one solution.

Um... this thread doesn't address any problems. Just opens discussion for any topic... Some regular 'Chit-Chat' among members.

What I wanted to hear from my question was..."Oh, I think sections should have a member page, a list of rules, etc...," but we can't always get what we want.

I just want to receive input that can be used for future projects.

Well Epagien you already know my position :D, i like how you putt the whole 'a few members' < - mainly its me ;) who doesnt consider a forum a website, its almost like a friggita pubstro forum, then again... *grins*.

Anyhow as epagien so kindly outlined, heres my 2 cents on it:

- An actual website, just like the old VeX had one.. (if one needs to be done, i could go ahead and boast that i am the best web designer/programmer here.. )

- Better forums (phpBB is just sloppy.. and do we have our skin?...)

- ^ The logo, well, lets just say it looks worse than my profile picture <---

This isn't ment to be insulting, however it is criticism, then again, take it however you like, i don't give a rat's ass, i am here to help; peace.

Showed you up? Hardly. Torn has some ideas. But as with so many he lacks tact.

He forgets that he's "lookin for a rank" and Epagien's a captain. He forgets that Epa's been here for years and well, I gotta ask, who is Torn? LOL. Some clan noob? Or someone with good intentions?

I trust no one until they get to be Sergeant or above.

Torn, if you want to design, you need to show us what you can do. We could always use more help, but you need to understand you have to work your way up from the bottom.

Start by tellin' me your story, or pointing me to the post where you already did that.

Torn and I had a LOOOONG conversation last night. The end result of that conversation is that Torn gets a rank (tho he claims it's not necessary) and will be treated as a VeX. He is offering to help the Clan with graphic design and programming in exchange for nothing more than experience.

Torn also has a first mission (or project, depending on how you label it), which kind of will serve to answer my unanswered questions from the previous post. His mission is to compile a "portfolio" of his past work.

This is a mandatory first step for anyone wanting to be a VeX Dev Team member.

Torn suffered a lil setback in terms of his demeanor and resepect level. Over the last few days, I have talked quite a bit with this guy (who goes by "undead_shaman" on Y!IM) and decided that he's worth the effort to test out.

Since he made threats to use certain things I said against me on the boards, I decided to nuke his account. However, he is still around and still technically working for VeX.

He is also one of the first to be allowed to see Epagien's new installation of software on this site. Go to www.vexclan.com/tasks/ to see what we're talking about. If you want to have access to the site, you will have to first read this:
