Ranking System

VeX uses a system in which your highest rank(from whichever sections you are active in) is used for clan-wide issues and displayed on our bulletin board. For section-specific issues, your authority within that section is limited by your rank. Your input is not limited by your rank.

Promotion by Combat- [Enlisted Only]

Show your skills by kicking "A" and taking names later. Submit your screenshots to your SL who will review them for promotion.

NOTE: After achieving the rank of Master Sgt., you must be promoted through Clan Vote.

Promotion by Section Leader's/Clan Leader's/Cabinet Member's Discretion

Outstanding clan service or other merits as reviewed by your Section Leader or the Clan Leader..

NOTE: The highest rank personnel may achieve through this process is 1st Lt.(officers) or Master Sgt.(enlisted).

Promotion by Clan Vote

So someone high up has seen the fruits of your labor. An officer of the rank of Major or above presents their case as to why you deserve a promotion. A poll is run on the bulletin board and the Clan votes on your promotion.

This is the method of promotion that all personnel must follow after achieving the rank of 1st Lt. or Master Sgt.

Becoming an Officer

Becoming an officer is about work. If you want to really contribute, this is the way to do it. After being at the rank of Staff Sgt., when up for your next promotion, you will have the option of becoming a 2nd Lt. or a Gunnery Sgt. at the discretion of your Section Leader/Clan Leader/Cabinet Member.

Demotions

Demotions can be given by SL's in rare circumstances. They may also occur by Clan vote initiated by someone of the rank of Major or above. They can also be given as an executive command issued by the Military Police division after thorough investigation.

Rank Transfer Through Section Switching

When already an active member of VeX and at the rank of 2nd Lt, Gunnery Sgt., or above:

When you switch to a new section, your starting rank can be transferred as a 2nd Lt. or a Gunnery Sgt. at the discretion of the Section Leader.

Stipulations

You can only be promoted or demoted one rank at a time.

Before achieving the rank of Staff Sgt., you can be promoted once every two weeks.

After achieving the rank of Staff Sgt., the fastest you may make rank is once per month, though it is rare to make rank this quickly.

Found this in a HTML file. Don't know who original made it. Kresh? Elixir? ... one of the other peeps?

Officer ranks in the United States military consist of commissioned officers and warrant officers. The commissioned ranks are the highest in the military. These officers hold presidential commissions and are confirmed at their ranks by the Senate. Army, Air Force and Marine Corps officers are called company grade officers in the pay grades of O-1 to O-3, field grade officers in pay grades O-4 to O-6 and general officers in pay grades O-7 and higher. No, we do, it's just that no VeX has ever held that rank.

BTW, excellent job on posting the ranks again. Thanks!
